The same plain-English guidance our team gives across the counter in Rochester — vein colors, strains, extracts, kava and kanna. No hype, no medical claims.
Every strain comes in vein colors, and the color tells you more about the feel than the strain name does. The house rhyme: Red is for bed. White is for flight. Green is in between. Gold is feel-good.

Evening comfort and wind-down. The classic pick for rest and physical ease.

Bright and lively — the morning-coffee lane of the leaf world.

The in-between: gentle lift without the edge. Most first-timers start green.

Sunny and easy-going — Gold Dragon is the house favorite.
Same plant, different growing regions and drying styles. Rough personalities:
New to kratom? Start with plain leaf — powder or capsules — at a normal serving. Skip extracts and strong shots until you know how leaf feels for you.
Extracts concentrate mitragynine well past plain leaf — ours run from 6% entry-level to a 97% isolate-grade powder. Plain leaf is roughly 1–2% mitragynine, so even the 6% is a real step up.
Extracts hit harder and build tolerance faster than leaf. They fit experienced users — or people stepping over from stronger products — not first-timers. Start low, go slow.
Kava is a South Pacific root prized for calm, social ease without alcohol. We carry noble-cultivar kava as extract powder (30% and 75% kavalactones), micronized 9-year noble, capsules and 30mg gummies.
A lot of our regulars use a kava session exactly where a nightcap used to sit — the wind-down ritual, minus the morning after. Don't mix kava with alcohol, and take breaks between sessions.
Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum) is a South African botanical known for lifting mood and softening social tension. Our shots come in 40mg and 80mg — start at 40mg to find your level. The Espresso Kanna blends it coffee-forward.
If you take prescription medication — especially SSRIs or MAOIs — talk to your doctor before trying kanna.
